Get ready to Light up the Night! Nottinghamshire’s most anticipated firework event is back!

Join us for the 8th firework evening in Walesby Forest’s history on Saturday 8th November.

From 5pm, you can enjoy our family-friendly event with a fun fair, food stalls, and our own eras tour featuring live music from much-loved Taylor Swift tribute act, Taylored Swift. We also have free and secure car parking for everyone.

There will be two fireworks displays for you to enjoy. The first is our dazzling display designed for younger audiences and those who are sensitive to loud noises. Following this is our showstopping event finale, featuring the big bangs, starting at 8pm. Both sets of fireworks are choreographed by Fuse Fireworks, who specialise in creating PyroMusicals.

As a charity, Light up the Night helps us ensure that we can continue to provide young people with unique and memorable experiences, while also preserving our woodland for generations to come. Thank you.

Everything you need to know

Ahead of the event tonight, we wanted to share a few essentials you should be aware of before arriving:

You must present your ticket with the QR code at the event entry points. Your QR code can be found on your email confirmation – please disregard the typo of ‘this is not your ticket’. The QR code is your ticket. We apologise for the inconvenience and confusion.
If you have booked a Scout/Guide ticket, they must wear their neckerchiefs. Any leaders who have purchased tickets, must be with their group.
Sparklers are not permitted at this event. Please do not bring sparklers to this event.
Animals are not permitted to enter event, unless pre-arranged with Walesby Forest.
We have designated First Aid located towards the left of the stage (please see map below) if you feel you need assistance, please do not hesitate to approach a member of the team in high-vis.
Lost children will be directed to the First Aid area. If you have lost a child, please contact a member of the team in high-vis to raise awareness and follow their instructions.
Please do not bring food or drink unless pre-arranged with Walesby Forest. For example, baby food, dietary specific needs etc.
We are selling alcohol at this event. Please bring ID with you if you wish to purchase at the Bar. Do not bring alcohol with you to this event.
There are members of the team around the event to help with wayfinding, questions or concerns, if you need a member of the team, please approach us for help.
Do not park on the roadside outside of Walesby Forest. We must keep the road outside of Walesby Forest clear for other road users and emergency vehicles. We have plenty of car parking available.
We are anticipating a busy night and expect car parking to be busy. Whilst we have plenty of space to park, congestion should be expected. Please listen to our team and their advice when entering and exiting the venue. Please plan your journey accordingly.
